Business Process Reengineering

DEFINITON:

Business Process Reengineering is also known as Business Process Redesign, Business Transformation, or Business Process Change Management.
So many definition was provided for the phrase BPR, me myself chose to define the BPR as “Encompasses the vision of new work strategies”
by focusing on :
  • actual process design activity
  • implementation of the change in all its system : technological, human and organizational dimension.
  • continuing development for information systems and networks

WHY BRP?
On a tight competition for global market share, organization are tend to rethink how they do their work in order to dramatically improve.
What to improve?
  • Customer service quality
  • Reduction operational cost
  • become world class competitors

HOW?
BPR should focusing not on the result, but  rather on process-oriented views, such as TQM and JIT (just in time)
The continuous improvement or TQM movement. Today organization should think, “Today firms must seek not fractional, but multiplicative levels of improvement” Seek 10x improvement rather than 10%.
Implementing technological on information systems that can lead to cost reduction in massive quantity.
Hope that would helps :D
see ya!
